The kanji are lettering used to write in Japanese. This description however does not sufficiently describe the beauty of the kanji. These lettering are not like the English alphabets, they are a beautiful set of symbols which make amazing tattoos when interwoven with flowers, leaves and other such patterns. Bamboo trees and kanji words with a few other Japanese symbols look striking! Besides the inability of people to read kanji, lends it an enigmatic look.
